If a beach vacation to Midcoast Maine sounds like your idea of the perfect getaway, you likely have a few friends who would love to join you! From lazy days with few decisions to make to action-packed itineraries, the possibilities for a New England girlfriends’ getaway are endless. Below, you will find three ideas for your next mini vacation with friends.

How to Have the Best New England Girlfriends’ Getaway

Enjoy Craft Cocktails and a Special Dinner

Once you settle into your room, start your girlfriends’ getaway with craft cocktails and a special dinner. Enjoy a drink with ocean views and without the worry of finding your way back to our inn – simply walk up the stairs to your room.

After a cocktail at our bar, join us for a fine dining experience at “BLUE Restaurant. Using only the finest, local ingredients, including fresh-caught fish and Maine lobster, Chef Esau Crosby will delight and surprise you with his clever take on North Atlantic cuisine.

Relax on the Beach

After breakfast at BLUE Restaurant, head to Reid State Park for the perfect beach day. This beautiful park is only five minutes from our inn. Here, you’ll find wide sandy beaches, a natural lagoon, dunes, and gorgeous walking trails. There is nothing quite as relaxing as the sound of ocean waves and the smell of salty air on a sunny Maine day.

Puffin cruises, whale watching, sailing, boating and kayaking are also excellent ways to spend time on the water.

Wind Down and Wine Down

Fine wine and spa treatments are a classic combination. Start your day with a hydrating facial, luxurious massage, or pampering manicure at one of our favorite spas. We recommend Sweetwater Day Spa, Tranquility Salon & Spa, and Sea Glass Spa for all your massage and beauty needs.

Afterward, head out with your favorite girls for an afternoon of wine tasting at Cellardoor Winery or Sweetgrass Winery & Distillery. Remember to bring home a bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy on your private balcony in the evening! If you prefer craft beer, Bath Brewing Company and Flight Deck Brewing are both 20 minutes away from our inn.
