Front Desk Agent  (posted 7 17 24)

Part time – 2-6 pm M-F  – $18 per hour

Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about guest service to join our team. The Front Desk Agent will oversee the inn’s reception desk and dining room, delivering exceptional service to inn guests. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who loves Georgetown & MidCoast Maine and can share this love with guests as the individual will be an ambassador for our fantastic island.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the inn during shifts
  • Be our onsite presence and the primary face of the Inn
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest in our guests
  • Managing guest check-in & check-out processes, including calculating charges and taking payments, and assisting with luggage
  • Answering telephone calls and emails, and taking, cancelling, and changing room reservations and restaurant reservations, as well as messages for owner from vendors and event inquiries
  • Answering inquiries about the inn and its services via telephone, email, and in person
  • Investigating and resolving customer complaints or questions
  • Be aware of an able to recommend guest-appropriate local attractions and restaurants
  • Follow established procedures and policies when completing tasks
  • Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure room readiness for guests
  • Assist with implementing the owner’s vision for the inn & ensure all operations adhere to company values and branding standards
  • Other duties as required

  • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills (you will be trained on our systems)
  • Experience with conflict resolution
